the Fackrell family

I am so excited about this shoot!!!! It was the perfect evening for a family session—the wild flowers were popping up all over the place, the sun was warm and soft and this family is the best ever. Kylee wanted to have some family photos taken to wrap up their California adventure (not the theme park). Andy graduated from law school and they have moved on to new things.... But we had ourselves a lovely photoshoot to go out with a bang!

Can I just say that these peeps have got some mad style and two of the darlingest little girls you ever did see? Those little ladies are bursting with personality and happiness, two things that turn photos into total magic! And the fact that everyone is perfectly styled makes everything even betta—props to Kylee and her hot-mama-hipster-fashionista ways (don't you just love her glasses, I think I told her I love them maybe twenty times)!

Because sometimes I hear songs in my head, or coming out of my computer, while I'm working I feel like it's only right to share. This way we can set the mood for your viewing pleasure. And who doesn't love some Mindy Gledhill? Yeah? Yeah!

Harrington family

These peeps make the snow look real good. I think families have different styles and Winter Wonderland is totally their style. There were so many things I loved about this shoot.... I loved the winter coats with the splashes of bright color, I loved the massive snowy trees, I loved the whole family! And now I'm getting a hankering for some hot cocoa and some mittens, even though it's sunny and 70ยบ outside.
Winter in Idaho is brrrrrrrrrr.

the Sanders family

I love this family! When I first met Leslie (the mamacita) it was right after we moved to Orange County and she was so spunky and sweet and laughed at all of my semi-lame-o jokes..... I just knew that we were going to be great pals.
Ok, so here's a behind-the-scenes story for ya: See that darling fella in the orange button-up and cream vest? Well, he wasn't feeling too hot. I was taking some portraits of the littlest kiddie and then turned around to find that he had thrown up in a bush a few yards away. Right after that (and a few swigs of water) the poor guy had to smile for his close up—and he did his best and it is the cutest photo you ever did see! We asked him if he wanted to go home and be done but he said he felt much better. Yep. Probably the sweetest little man I know.
After we wrapped up the shoot the Sanders invited me to grab some frozen yogurt with them at Yogurtland.......and who am I to pass up some tasty frozen yogurt with excellent company?

Thanks guys! It was a great day and you're the best!

the Rinehart family

I got to meet the Rinehart family in San Clemente (also where I found the cutest book ever) for some quality-family-photo-time. It was the perfect day, San Clemente is the sweetest little beach town and this awesome family made me so happy. No, really, this family is extra special to me because Shaun is in the US Navy and he left a few days after we had our photo-shoot. Hannah brought the flag for the little man because he just loves his dad and they are all so proud of him. It kind of choked me up on the shoot and I've got some lump-in-the-throat action doing this little write-up. All I can say is this is an unbelievable family and Hannah, the hot mama, is one tough little cookie!! There is nothing like coming to a photo-shoot and meeting new clients and leaving at the end of the day feeling like you have a bunch of super cool new friends.

the Scott family

Love this family. Kristie was my English teacher in high school (she was Mrs. Scott to me back then and she made me read The Scarlet Letter, which turned out to be one of my fave books eva). But now I call her Kristie and hang out with her rad family, snapping photos. It was lots of fun, thanks for the good times guys!!
