Rachelle T.

My friend Rachelle had a baby boy, but not before we had ourselves a beautiful baby-bump-photo-sesh! Love that the whole happy family came along for the shoot..... Pretty sure Rachelle is living proof of the whole pregnant ladies having that glow.

Yeah, she's like a lightbulb.

Daniel H.

Dan is a 4th year student at Southern California College of Optometry, one of Jason's buddies—and 4th year means rotations, which for Dan means he'll be packing up and moving to Japan for a few months!! Talk about an experience of a lifetime!

When we were meeting for photos he called to make sure he was in the right place and I asked him what he was wearing so I could see if I could spot him.
He said "A white shirt and tie."
And at that very second about 250 people dressed up in white shirts and ties were crossing the street where I was trying to find Dr. Dan. It was Where's Waldo come to life!

It was so so fun to do some professional headshots for this smiley future eye doc (he's seriously smiley, even when I told him to be "somber" or "sober", I get those two words a little mixed up).

Rachel H.

Rachel is a graphic designer and wanted some not-so-business-like-business portraits. And good thing too because that's just my style! Can I just say how much I love working with designers? So fun! They come all geared up with creativeness and ideas and open minds and fun stuff.

Anyway, check her out at Musings from 'Hel. Yay!

this is Ami

She is super spunky, incredibly sweet and totally ready to do whatever I asked her to (love that!). Even when I said "Stand right here" and ran behind the tree—she didn't even laugh at me or call me crazy. That's when I knew I liked her. Anyway, I love the casual feel to these photos. I find it refreshing for some reason. Alright..... I'll shut up. Enjoy.

it's all about light. and i love light, therefore i really did liked this class.
(even if it was a little heavy on the assignments.)

thank you to everyone who let me take a photo of your face!

on location

school has been keeping me busy busy—but with good stuff!
so i decided that i'll be sharing some shoots from my portrait class.
as a group we went on over to paul mitchell hair academy for an employee/executive shoot.
it was so much fun to shoot at such a rad location with quite the natural model! (isn't ashley seriously so darling?)
